Not Your Average Book Party
There’s nothing quite like a stimulating book release party—Sophisticated conversation, witty rapport, go-go boys in jockstraps…
It was a classy celebration, indeed, for my debut photo book, PAGES—as well as an homage to the subject of the book, the phenomenon known as Page.
The party space was the East Village gay bar the Cock, an appropriate setting for a book that conjures the gritty 1990s.
What a great crowd! The place was packed with happy revelers who thrilled to the go-go squad of sexy guys and gender-benders, DJ Formika’s upbeat playlist, and old videos and photos of Page projected on the wall. Her party-hardy spirit was in the house!

Disco balls and the belle of the ball, Page, in a video and slide installation. (Thanks for photo, Cat!)
